Hemifacial Microsomia (HFM) Clinic

Location: Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin, Outpatient Department.

Date & Time:  4 Times a Year  at 2 p.m

The Hemifacial Microsomia clinic is a multidisciplinary specialty clinic which continuously links with other specialties including plastic, reconstructive, ear, nose and throat, ophthalmology, genetics, oral maxillofacial surgery, dental orthodontics and prosthodontics. There is a constant communication between these specialties and the National Paediatric Craniofacial Centre in Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.

 The Hemifacial Microsomia clinic runs 4 times a year in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin. 

Your child has been referred to this clinic so they can be seen by several specialists at once; you will have the opportunity to ask questions about your child’s needs. .

Lead Craniofacial, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon – Mr Dylan Murray

Plastic, Reconstructive and Cleft Surgeon – Mr David Orr 

Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeon with a special interest in cosmetic ear reconstruction – Mr David O’Donovan 

Orthodontist – Dr Eamonn Mc Kiernan

Prosthodontist. – Dr Aisling O’ Mahony

Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon,  – Mr Stephen Hone 

Noelle O’ Mahony - Craniofacial Clinical Services Coordinator

At the clinic the seven specialist consultants offer their assessment outlining both medical management and optimum timeframes for surgical treatment. All care is coordinated by a craniofacial clinical services coordinator dedicated to providing high quality care to your child and family.
